Forgiveness shows up in recovery long before we ever feel ready for it. It knocks at the door quietly at first, then louder, until we eventually realize that healing cannot move unless something inside us softens. This week’s Witchual Hour invited us into that softness. We opened the circle, called in our guides, and used music to carry us through the emotional terrain of forgiveness.
We started in the place many of us know all too well. The ache. The truth we avoided. The pieces of ourselves we tucked away because they hurt too much to look at. The first songs of the show helped us name that pain without judgment. Naming is powerful. Naming is magick. Naming is the first step toward freedom.
From there we moved into the harder questions. What do we do with the people who hurt us. What do we do with the parts of our own past that still grip our chest. The second set walked us through the tension between anger and release. Between wanting closure and knowing we might never get it. Forgiveness is rarely clean. It is rarely mutual. But it is always sacred work.
The third set brought the mirror back to us. Self forgiveness. The place where most of us get caught. The place where shame tries to run the show. The music held space for the moments we wished we had done better. For the choices we made when we were lost. For the versions of ourselves who were in pain and needed compassion more than punishment.
During Ask a Witch we answered questions about readiness, timing, ancestors, and the role the universe plays in repeating patterns until we finally release what keeps us stuck. These were raw, real questions that many listeners will feel in their own bones.
Our Magickal Moment focused on release. Letting energy drain out of the places it never belonged. Calling back power we gave away without realizing it. Choosing to move forward with clarity and intention.
By the time we moved into the final songs of the show, the energy in the circle had shifted. The heaviness had loosened. Forgiveness did not feel like a demand. It felt like an opening. A breath. A doorway back to ourselves.
Forgiveness is not about excusing what happened. It is about refusing to let the past decide who you become. Your healing is your birthright. Your softness is strength. And you are allowed to move forward without carrying weight that was never meant to stay.
