Welcome to The Witchual Hour, a radio ritual where recovery meets the healing power of sound. Each week I open a sacred space with music, tarot, and magickal practices designed to remind us that our path is sacred, our healing is magick, and our voices belong in the circle. This week’s theme was especially close to my heart: astrology and the stars.
Throughout human history, people have looked up at the night sky for meaning, guidance, and inspiration. Musicians are no different. From songs about Mercury retrograde to lyrics that honor Venusian love, the cosmos has always provided a soundtrack for our lives. In this episode, I curated a playlist of songs where artists draw directly from astrology, planets, and celestial symbolism.

I love how the music itself becomes a ritual. When you hear a song called Jupiter or Portal to the Starry Path, you are not just vibing with the rhythm, you are aligning with the cosmos.
Tarot for the Collective
As always, I pulled a tarot card live on air for the collective. This week’s card spoke beautifully to the theme of astrology. It reminded us that just as the planets move in cycles, so do we. Recovery is not a straight line, it is a spiral, a dance, a journey of orbiting closer and closer to our true selves.
The card invited listeners to lean into curiosity rather than control. Instead of fearing cosmic shifts like Mercury retrograde or Saturn return, we can see them as reminders that growth is happening beneath the surface.
Ask a Witch: Your Questions Answered
This week’s listener questions were especially rich. Here are a few that we explored:
“Do you think some folks are born witches through ancestral lineage, or do you feel that practicing the craft is what makes you a witch?”
“How can knowing our Sun, Moon, and Rising signs help us better understand ourselves in recovery?”
“Do the planets and stars really affect our moods and energy, or is astrology more symbolic than literal?”
I love answering these live because the wisdom does not just come from me, it comes from Spirit and from the collective energy of everyone listening. The conversation reminded us that both ancestry and practice can shape a witch’s path, that astrology can be a mirror for self-awareness, and that symbolism often carries as much truth as physical influence.
Magickal Moment: Aligning Sun, Moon & Rising
For this week’s ritual, I kept things very simple so anyone could participate. It begins with looking up your Big Three in astrology: your Sun sign, Moon sign, and Rising sign. Once you know them, you can affirm alignment in just a few breaths:
“I honor my Sun. This is my truth, and I shine it freely.”
“I honor my Moon. This is my heart, and I accept it fully.”
“I honor my Rising. This is my path, and I walk it boldly.”
We closed with the words: “In this alignment, I am whole.”
This ritual may be short, but it is powerful. By naming our cosmic blueprint, we step into deeper self-awareness. It is a reminder that recovery is not about becoming someone new, it is about realigning with who we have always been.
Music, Recovery, and the Cosmos
Why mix astrology with recovery? Because both are about cycles, reflection, and growth. The stars move through patterns, and so do we. Music helps us feel those patterns in our bodies. Ritual helps us embody them in our souls.
