Sunshine   12:18

Hey everyone, welcome back to deepest spirituality. are your co hosts sunshine, the pink haired psychic, medium,

Graham  12:33

and Graham the self proclaimed breaker of mold and builder of bridges.

Sunshine   12:37

Yeah, we’re gonna remind everyone once again in the beginning. If you are digging what you hear when you’re done, don’t forget to go over like subscribe, find us we’re on all the major podcasting platforms or other episodes out there. This guests that you’re gonna listen to you here today is not the only amazing incredible person that we’re talking to. And you’re not gonna want to miss any of them but there’s there’s that plug real quick and so I’m excited today’s topic I happen you know, today’s guests. I happen to know a little bit more personally, I don’t always know our guests personally, but I do know this very lovely individual. And so what we’ll be bringing in on here shortly, but as always, let’s just go ahead and we’re gonna start with an opening ritual and if you are in a safe place and able to, I would encourage you just to close your eyes right now, if you’re driving, keep them open. Maybe just you know, use that third eye. And as you close your eyes everyone take a deep breath in and exhale out through your mouth just like go big sigh ah. Now watch you just imagine all the way from the crown of your head, standing far up into the sky white, the tube of light. And just imagine that that white beam of light starts at that crown and extends all the way up through the sky, maybe through your ceiling, wherever you’re at goes up through the clouds, maybe even trees it’s got a pass through, all the way up into the sky and it hits the atmosphere of the Earth and continues going and passes the moon it passes on planets goes all the way out outside of the Milky Way. Galaxy almost as though you kind of had your finger on a scroll mouse and just kept going even further and further. You just kept extending further beyond our solar system. Beyond all the solar systems out into the cosmos into a place that no one has ever quite bad or noticed and far to the reaches of the everything we could comprehend. As you reach that very, very far edge that white beam of light you notice attached to that white beam of light is a big beautiful twinkling star. Maybe this star looks at you in 3d Maybe it’s just 2d twinkles. It might turn you might shake that star let’s start with Representative your higher self. That Higher Self that’s connected to the collective conscious. It’s connected everything. As you notice and pay attention to your own star you look look around and look across from you and you notice another star not too far away that star that stars get a pink shade. That pink shade it’s just twinkling and maybe blinking. Might even look like you just winked at you that star that’s me.

15:53

That’s my star. Now here between our two stars. You slowly watch a silver thread stand up from the middle, from your

16:07

star and from my star continuing to reach towards each other. You inch by inch just continuing to come closer together. Until at last one point, those thread connects into one and now my star and your stars Connect. Taking a deep breath in and exhaling out feeling hopefully you feel all my loving energy being sent your way.

Sunshine   16:44

And as you notice that you take a look around and all of these other stars begin to show themselves

16:53

all the way to your left to your right. Even if you look above low just stars everywhere you could possibly see. Just as you take notice of all these stars you watch the silver threads begin to extend each and every one of them.

Sunshine   17:19

Now at this point, every single one of these stars are connected. Not only is your star represented Keishon of your self, your higher self a part of the collective conscious. Every single one of those stars and the connections is

17:36

the collective consciousness everyone connected. Taking another deep breath in feeling the power of that truth. Exhaling out

Sunshine   17:55

and as you enjoy the sensation of being connected to every single one of us, every single one of us here on the show and everyone listening. I want you now to come back to your star.

18:11

We’re going to come back in our bodies right here down that star all the way down that white beam down through all the cosmos through into the Milky Way. pass all the planets as the moon

Sunshine   18:29

as the upper atmosphere of the Earth. By the clouds, through the trees, whatever. Whatever is above

18:38

you right back down into your back. Taking another deep breath in and the count of three we’re gonna all come right back here. Three,

Sunshine   18:51

two, and one. Deep breath in and all right. I’m excited, as I said to welcome our very lovely guest Heather powers to the show today. Heather welcome. We’re excited to have you

Heather Powers  19:09

thank you for having me.

Sunshine   19:11

As we always start these shows off in a very similar fashion and you know, curiosity gets me I suppose. But I think it’s important sometimes for people to understand how we stumble across amazing things in our lives and I think you stumbling across us is pretty amazing to me. So tell us how did you come about? Joining us here on the deepest spirituality today?

Heather Powers  19:37

Well, um, I seen your posted on there about you’re looking for a podcast guest and I was in the process of starting my own podcast at the time. And I liked really what your theme was about the deep, deepest spirituality and I really enjoyed that. And I felt like that was kind of the transformation that I’ve been in now. Where I’ve been diving deeper. So I was called to just, you know, see if you guys were interested in having me on so and here we are today. So

Sunshine   20:15

I love it. So just seeing and following. And it’s amazing and I love that you say it’s aligned to where you’re at. So tell us how how’s your spiritual journey man? I know our listeners if they’ve heard any of our other episodes have heard about Graham’s has heard about my spiritual journey that share with us how they’re How is your spiritual journey, you know, kind of taken you up until this point to you are exploring your own kind of path in a little bit of a deeper fashion. Well,

Heather Powers  20:42

I started many years now. We’re coming up to a half a century where I’ve been on this planet but I started to really dive into it when I was probably disillusioned by the church at the time and I wanted more meaning on things and that was when I was quite young 15 years old or so. So then I decided to explore but at the time I did not have any mentors. There wasn’t anybody out there that could help me. So it was kind of like going stumbling in the dark. And seeing where it was leading me and I I started out with what you know, I felt most people start out with was Wiccan principles and things like that. And I was I was fond of the one that I was most fond of and that when I was walking that path was creating the spells because I’ve always been a creative writer and I liked putting the words down is like a spell and having that meaning. And it kind of like fell into alignment with my writing at the time where I was writing poetry and things like that. So I dealt with that for a while, probably a couple of years. And then certain aspects of it just didn’t, you know, fall with me fall fallen into what I was wanting to move forward to so I started going into at that point, I was probably in my mid 20s And I actually stopped because I was not in a very good relationship at the time and that person was not very supportive and I was dealing with a lot of abuse at the time so I actually just kind of shut that that stuff off for probably about five or six years. Then I had got out of that relationship and into towards, you know, coming into my mid 20s now and I’m like where do I go from here? I just I was broken from that relationship. I just didn’t know where to go. And so I started delving into another aspect of like animal doing animal spirit guides and Native American shamanism and that was

Sunshine   23:00

getting posed to Pol Pot you know, to poke to the pause and ask this question. I want to come back to the story. Well, we’re gonna come back to you but you know, I have a similar similar kind of experience. I Graham I don’t know that we’ve ever explicitly explored you having this but I know other people have. I am curious other why you think it is? Why do you think it is that when people sometimes find their life getting rough, or difficult or challenging or like you describe being in an abusive relationship same thing I was in an abusive Why do we not turn harder into our spirituality why like what like why do we Why do you think we venture away from it?

Heather Powers  23:44

I think at the time I was scared at the time because I was like I said coming out of that abusive relationship and he was like counseling bow breeding me and saying like, You’re crazy. You’re nuts. You know, so it was more it was like a judgment thing to me and I was like, Okay, then I’m really, I was kind of like, believing that I was crazy. And in reality, so that kind of like, turned me away from it because I’m like, I don’t want to be crazy, you know? And I had my daughter was like, very young at that time. And I’m like, okay, like, what are people gonna see me like, the crazy mom and I needed to have custody of my daughter and things like that. So I had to, to kind of like, I don’t know. be straightforward. I have to be like a straight laced person at the time but what I felt that’s what I felt like I can’t do this because I might lose my daughter, you know, type thing because people start to think I’m crazy. I start talking about that stuff. And so I think mine was fear. A lot. I just did was scared to do it and tap into that.

Sunshine   24:49

I hate you know, and I think I know why they had me pause is like, you know, for our listeners, you know, you’re listening to our podcast. Heather, you know, at the end, we’ll talk you know, she has her own podcast or dear, my dear co host here. Graham has his own. And I think there’s one thing that’s kind of interesting to me that all of us probably touch on in these conversations is a bit of what you’re talking about like this wanting to be ourselves, right, truly wanting to be ourselves and like this is the way this is I think the reason why each of us are probably even have these podcasts in places to allow other people to hear these stories and know you know that you you’re not crazy or you are crazy and that’s okay, you know, that’s what I tell people all the time. I am crazy and I’m okay with that. And yeah, to not not not be afraid to truly be who we are and to be, you know, empowered to be able to be ourselves. And we’ll get into that. Yeah, Greg, go for it.

Graham  25:55

I just yeah. Like so here’s just a different take on answering to that question, which is why we don’t turn right now in full disclosure. i This is something I’m definitely spending a lot of time in my life doing spirituality was not a place in my life that I grew up in, right. So just acknowledging anyway, the one of the things that I have come across is the what if you don’t get an answer? Right. What if you’re so you’re already down on your luck? stuffs already bad the one place you believe you have left to turn his faith or belief in something, right? And then you turn to that, and that doesn’t answer, then you know, then it’s like, well, then what are you left with? Right? So in one hand, it’s almost like a it’s almost like a self preservation, to not lean into belief in order to maintain it, so that you can have that faith right, without having to kind of quote unquote, challenge it. And so there’s like a bit like an instinctual kind of a thing there. I can let you know, that’s kind of been somewhat that’s been so in my experience, I’ll just throw a different spin at that for the sake of the conversation. Well,

Sunshine   26:56

I think I think I think it’s a different spin but that still goes back to some fear there. That’s right.

Graham  27:02

That’s right. Absolutely. It’s a tremendous fear approach. Right? No brainer, that good. Yeah.

Sunshine   27:08

And that’s the you know, I just say that because if anybody that is listening, and you find that this is resonating with you, you’re not alone, folks, you got three people here that you could reach out to, you know, you’re not alone. So, you know, hey there, let’s go back you you you know, you get out of this you know, crappy relationship. You start you know, stepping back again and you find a different path or path that you weren’t necessarily on with you know, beforehand what what was that path? Like? I’m

Heather Powers  27:36

actually I classify that now as my foundational path because everything is related back to that in the past 30 years. And so, everything that I did, from that point on, led to some some form of that foundation where you were working with the prayer, you’re working with your guides, whether they be animal, you know, elemental nature spirits, you are working with those, you are honoring lands, you are owning that. So I’ve always kind of like went that route. So I always think of that as my foundational and it’s kind of like where it bounced off everything from that point. So I I’ve still I still do that I still work with, with animals elementals and nature and I actually have very good friends that, you know, I consider elders that that were teaching me at that time that I consider a family and they consider me their family, but they were also telling you that I can see that this isn’t where you’re going to be going. You know, I respect you’re always be my family. Always be my heart, heart, heart and soul. But you know, there’s other places that you’re going to go. So then from there, I went for that for several years. But at the time again, I said no monitors. I was straight shooting. At a time I was writing about writing journal full of what I call, probably what I’ve looked back on now crazy nonsense, you know. And so, but at that point, then I got into my 30s area, and I started meeting mentors. I started finding people that were like minded and they opened up my perceptions on things and showed me other pathways and so I’ve been on a twisty windy path since but so in my 30s Moving on to that I’m still all in this shaman is always been shamanistic, I guess I want to call it that. It’s just been different levels and different shapes. Then coming into my 40s more recent years, I was working on the Norse pantheon, where I actually was working with Norse shamanism and I actually undertook a training on being a Norse what we call a seer woman or a vulva. And it was working with the the Norns and such. And I still follow some of the Norse because again, it’s more there’s more nature, nature based things like that. So it’s always been something something similar to that. But I followed that for many years and then I did deity work and then deity work kind of like evolved into where I’m at now. Where I’m doing the healing, you’re doing sound healing. So I call myself now soul song Alchemist and a healer. And that’s the bend I have a going on. I think that’s where I’m going to continue going. That’s where I’ve been called to go. But I also want to segue that I am doing the creative part because that is one that’s my soul. So when I’m able to do that I can connect spiritually to divinity because I’m writing about it. I’m writing about the elementals I’m writing about the spirits. I’m writing about these things. And so that to me, gives me a connection to them. And a connection. So I’m describing the connection to others, so that they can see that. You it’s almost like visions, wrote down on paper. That’s how I feel I do. Writing visions, like a lot of my poetry that I’ve wrote has been about dream work, vision, vision work. very descriptive and vivid. And I feel like it’s almost like that is the connection that that I’ve always wanted to have that connection. And when I wasn’t writing and I wasn’t creating, it was like there was like a hole inside of me like I wasn’t able to fill it. And it was like I was kind of slowly filling off, getting stuck in the grind the daily grind. And now I’m just kind of like, getting to the age where I just I need to I need to do what what my heart calls him to do. So that’s where everything’s leading. And that’s where I’m at now.

Sunshine   32:13

I love that and go ahead we’re

Graham  32:16

just gonna do that before. Speaking of foundational I was curious your your journey started with what was it that you were wanting some deeper answers that you weren’t receiving, let’s say in the church, right? And then from there, you went through different you know what I mean? Teachings mudflat I don’t know what the right necessarily terms are, but a variety of you’re very curious mind. Right. So curiosity is another common theme as well. Besides the fear, I would say Schengen right and so now you’ve mentioned you know, that you have gotten called to go different places, felt a whole loftiness I was wondering if you were still found yourself trying to seek those same answers or insights, or if what you were originally seeking is also evolved and that’s kind of then evolved into the creative writing. And so you know, and how that’s kind of bridged and how the and then how you get a piece of that next thing that’s an important piece for anyone who’s like, let’s record this the started is something so passionate, but then how do you feel confident to know that it was meant to start but it’s also know when to move to the next thing to Oh, yeah,

Heather Powers  33:19

that’s hard. It’s been a constant evolution for me i i feel like the path that I was going on it was gonna be the right path for like some time and then then life through other things in my way. I it’s more a bit of evolution and I was and I’m still seeking the answers, or talking. I’m still seeking the answers this day. I think I’m always gonna be a seeker no matter what. But I’ve felt a little more comfortable in myself now. After journeying and discovering all these different spirituality paths and things. But it’s still a constant revelation, and I think I’m still going to continuously evolve. I don’t think that’s going to change. I can’t say that I’m necessarily going to be I feel like right at this point in time, I feel like I’m gonna be stuck for a while doing what I’m doing. But I feel like it’s just going to continue to evolve and grow. And especially now that I’m adding back into the creative writing, music and getting an even even vocal or music or just seeing and movement. I feel like that’s all going to mesh together now, because I’ve went through this big pathway of different things, and finding those answers and I found some answers I have, but others are still out there. I’m still seeking them. But I feel a little more comfortable than I did probably about even five or even 10 years ago. I feel a little more comfortable with myself.

Graham  34:54

I was gonna say everything I heard you talk about that was it right? It was a you was that tell me if this is if I’m interrupting correctly. Like I started this really seeking about answers, and like thinking but instead of worrying about some very specific answers, to improve the quality of my life, or to make me feel better what I’ve just figured out how to find comfort in myself, right in the comfort in myself is way more valuable than seeking an individual and it doesn’t mean that they’re not there. Right. But it’s just not the driving force. And I think that’s a really beautiful revelation to self to, you know, to, to get to and so I just want to make sure I follow that and I think that’s awesome. I’m so happy to hear that you got there and that you’re enjoying yourself. Yeah, it’s not a Scantron sheet here. You know, we’re

Heather Powers  35:39

I don’t feel like I don’t feel like I have to prove myself to people anymore. Honestly, you know,

Sunshine   35:45

and I think like, you know, for somebody else that was like, raised in a church, you know, I was raised Catholic, and, you know, turned my back so to speak in the church because it didn’t have answers because the churches often don’t allow you to question beyond their answers. Right? And so if you don’t believe or trust or there’s something that doesn’t feel right, and so yeah, to me, it’s like just being able to be on the journey into question is a very empowering thing, which you know, speaking of empowering things, you know, Heather, you, you know, we’re talking about this but in one of the things that you’d said, you know, kind of in your show notes that you’d sent over was, you are you feel really passionate about spiritual empowerment. And so I’d love it if you’d share what does it mean like, you know, what are those words mean? If you had to put a definition to that what spiritual empowerment is what is it

Heather Powers  36:41

for spiritual empowerment? To me, it means being comfortable with yourself and your path in life, and being able to help others because you’ve came out of the darkness yourself. So to me, spiritual empowerment is coming out of the darkness into the light so to speak, and being able to share that with others and realizing that she did it. I can do it, you know, to me that’s what spiritual empowerment is to me. Helping others have that feeling of confidence? I guess that’s more I want to write it yeah.

Sunshine   37:25

Um, I love that you you know, you put the you went beyond just the person and went into the, like, the helping of the others or the, you know, helping others to find that too. And I truly think that that’s a really beautiful addition to add it into that definition. You’ve also got you’ve mentioned this and I just want to make sure that you’ve talked about like your creativity around you know, some of your path and your journey and how how has your like, I don’t want to gloss over it because you’ve touched on it, but I want you to like make sure folks like how is it really playing a role? Right, how does your creativity really play a role in this spiritual journey in this in your own spiritual empowerment right now? Why Why does it matter?

Heather Powers  38:13

I feel more myself when I create, I feel not like I’m putting a mask on for the masses. I feel like I’m showing the rawness and the vulnerability within myself that I was scared to show before. And now I’m feeling more comfortable in that space, so that I can share that vulnerability and share that rawness which is actually what drives my creative process. When I write it’s like it’s about passion things. It’s about making you feel and see what I write and and understanding that you’re seeing bits of myself that I’m writing that I wouldn’t have shared you know, before, because I wasn’t ready or I was scared too. So coming back into that creativity for me has been I’m gonna get like a little emotional here, but it’s been beautiful for me because when I write it’s like I feel better. I feel like I’m more closer to my truer self than I ever was before. Because it was just always just doing putting a mask on going and doing the day to day stuff, not not spending time doing creative stuff and just feeling very unfulfilled with life and very angry because they’re angry. But I feel like with me on my credit process, I have to have strong emotions to create. So when I’m having these then visionary experiences or being inspired by even others work to me that gets me closer to who I truly am. And I haven’t been able to do that in a really long time. So it’s at the point where I’m doing that now. And that’s where I am building that bridge to that spirituality and my creative. I

Sunshine   40:07

really love that and I have to share a bit of what like shows piton sharing what’s kind of like painting its picture in my mind right now and the creative process and I don’t know that anybody else that’s listening has ever thought about this, but the creative process and I don’t mean just creativity but the creative process itself is a full chakra alignment. Right? You are typically going to be using some kind of 3d material which is very grounding, whether it’s pen to paper paint to Canvas, mixed media or anything of that nature. That’s a very grounding act. It can be even a matter of like creating a garden, right? That’s a very grounding root chakra related thing. The fact that you’re actually taking and mixing you know, multiple things and making something that’s the whole sacral right, the fact that you’re working on potentially you know, improving a craft right maybe you’re improving your your, you know, music, you’re improving your art, whatever that is. That’s all solar plexus you’re doing something that’s passionate about all heart chakra, it’s coming out what you want, how you want it seen how you want it shown, that’s all throat and to your point, a bit of what you’re talking about here is is this whole you mentioned it before and this divine connection and potentially getting visions sight things of that nature. So I don’t know you’ve ever referenced it or reflected upon it and that that nature, Heather, but that’s why it makes you feel so much more like yourself is because every single time you step into it, you’re aligning every single one of your chakras

Heather Powers  41:39

and I would agree with that, I really would.

41:42

fascinating. It’s fascinating. I feel like I get a sneeze coming on.

Sunshine   41:51

Do you have any examples? Just you know, I’m curious for anybody that’s listening because I do think those of us

42:05

so, so lucky. I hit that mute button.

Sunshine   42:09

Do sneezes

Graham  42:10

Yeah, we had a clear shocker there. Oh good.

Sunshine   42:17

Goodness. I you know for anybody that’s listening and I’m curious you know maybe even you know grandma even maybe you’ve got an example that but I’m wondering like if we can think of some some some differences of like, you know, including this like creative energy in into our, you know, our spirituality or not having it in there. I’m just thinking about, you know, how might people be able to recognize, you know, that they’re, like, not tapped into this, you know, like a creative type of energy, how they’re not engaging in it. You know, when it comes to their spirituality.

Heather Powers  42:58

I can give an example of one of the girls that I work with, she’s telling me that she’s felt very, very out of place, very, very off center. And she feels like she’s not you know, she just feels like she’s just existing and nothing’s going anywhere. And when she tapped into her creativity, now she’s like, I my mood has completely changed. I am I’m happier. I’m I feel it. But when you talked before this, I was sad all the time. I was angry. I didn’t feel myself and so she said since I’ve been working on this stuff. She said it’s it’s vastly improved my life and the relationships around me. Like people want to be around, the more I’m drawing more people to me, and and opening, opening ourselves up to have that that process themselves, but that’s one of the big things that I’ve seen. Going from like despondent, lethargic, perhaps you know, just like going day by day getting up going to work, doing nothing but that getting up going to work. You know, eating dinner, going to sleep, there’s no nothing there and it just feels like this. This never ending grind. There’s no happiness there. There’s no joy. And then when you kick the spark, that’s when you know, when but you’re when you start feeling those things. I mean, there’s other things that could cause that. Don’t get me wrong, but but I feel like that’s a big indicator to me, especially when I start feeling that way. That’s my example.

Sunshine   44:43

I love that example. And it’s and I think it’s very similar to when people you know, kind of what you’re talking about is people are going to feel lost, you know, and I think more and more folks that are walking this earth are going to run into these situations that they might feel lost, uncertain, not quite positive, where to navigate and some some folks, you know, maybe creativity is not their thing. Maybe that’s not what they want to do. But I do I do know there’s a lot of us that are drawn to the arts and we choose not to do it. We make excuses. for it. And how do you handle that? Heather? How do you handle like, you know, folks that are you know, or even in your past maybe examples of where you know, that what you needed was a half an hour of writing or a half an hour of doodling or something to get your mind right or get yourself and and, and yet you find the excuses coming up. How do you handle that?

Heather Powers  45:40

Well, um, yeah, that’s happened to me, right? Quite recently. It’s like, oh, like when I was trying to do like some writing or something. And I’m like, oh, no, I’ve got to do this. I’ve got to do housework. I’ve got to do laundry. So it’s always that one other thing. I can’t sit 20 minutes 20 minutes. I just can’t do it. I have too much to do. You know, I I feel tired. I don’t want to you know, sit in in that space. And then and I felt like then I then I start busying myself with things that like playing games going on social media, which, you know, you have to stop, you know, because that’s, that’s just a killer. That’s a Creativity killer right there. So when I start feeling those moments, I’m like, oh, no, no. You have to chart out this time. You have to literally go do something otherwise, you know where this is gonna leave you’re gonna be pissed off you’re gonna be angry. You’re gonna be like, Why am I going through this day like Groundhog Day over and over again? But yeah, you start feeling you start doing pick it up things to do that don’t involve creativity. It’s you’re loading things. That’s what I do.

Graham  46:53

So speaking of creativity, because I want to make sure because this is where like, admitted as if as a listener, I would be like, yeah, she’s not talking to me stop my creative stuff, right. Since that time, this is where I want you know, I think that this is one of those things that you know, there’s misunderstandings on and so like for me when I hear you talking first of all, correlative, what I’m thinking of is creative writing, or creative spiritualities Wait, is what you’re thinking of. But first, but I also want to answer the question of for those like in my creative, right, like for me, I go, I don’t consider myself a creative person, that sense of being artistic, I don’t necessarily feel overly drawn to that, that all of those things said that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy them. But I also know that in order for me to tap into the wisdom that I have access to, I need to be able to write it, right like I can’t meditate on and get it all come into me. I got to kind of do it my own fourth form of like q&a to myself, right. And so I will notice that it definitely comes out sometimes to doodling, right? And so if somebody so I guess a is that the same is that is that kind of like the same thing you’re talking about and then be what’s like an at home test for somebody to kind of say, How do I know if I have some of this creative stuff, but don’t recognize it? Right? Because I’m not thinking about it in a traditional way.

Heather Powers  48:16

Okay, so you’re saying like if it was someone who wasn’t creative, a person that was didn’t feel like they were creative? They had to write things down. You’re saying how how would you you tell that is that is that your question? I just wanted to understand Oh, yeah,

Graham  48:30

no, since let’s just go with if somebody’s not sure if they’re creative or not, right. What would be like a so what would be a test they could give themselves to because maybe they wouldn’t think of themselves as an artist, right? However, as you know, wrenches are right. And all of a sudden, you know, you never know what’s going to pop up and you start to understand about yourself.

Heather Powers  48:49

Okay. I would say I’ve heard that come up. When I’ve done my classes, my workshops about finding your muse. It’s like, I don’t I’m not creative at all. I don’t want to do this. And then I always come up with the creative thought process, the creative problem solving. Like you’re not doing you’re thinking outside of the box on solutions. To problems. So when you have that coming up, then then you start, they get started thinking like, oh, I figured out this problem when it was an unsolvable problem, and I figured out so somewhere I had to tap in to get that information somehow. So you’re creative. You are creative in that aspect. Because a normal problem that couldn’t be solved. There’s a way that you have to solve it. I mean, you can use logic all you want, but sometimes the logic doesn’t solve the problem. So when that happens, like if logic doesn’t solve the problem, what where do I go? From here? And then what I found for people that I talked to that are creative thinkers, and I start talking about that they’re like, oh, yeah, I thought about doing something totally different. Collaborating with somebody when I wouldn’t have thought about that before. And then that’s what I said right? There’s your creative. Your creative process is creative problem solving. It doesn’t have to be working with your hands. It doesn’t have to be writing doesn’t have to be music, it solving problems in ways that you didn’t think you could solve them because they were impossible to solve. There’s got to be somewhere that that comes from. So I think everyone is really creative in that aspect. It doesn’t have to be through your hands or anything like that. So

Graham  50:29

for you the whole starting point, is that your understanding of creative is way larger. I think that you know that maybe then in my years we’re taking it right I was thinking very literal. And anyway, I think that’s it. agree with you and I think that’s that’s that’s great point. Thank you for elaborating.

Sunshine   50:43

I love that you asked the question Graham, right. I love that you asked the question because I do think you’re spot on that not everybody’s gonna resonate with a fine artist, right or an artist as a creator. But think about anytime that you’ve put a post on social media, your creator, you just created something right. It might not have been like, it might have been like, look at my dirty feet, like I did the other day. But you know, at least at least you were you were creating it’s also when I think of all the times is I think of you know, most of my background is in software development. Some of the most spectacular creators I’ve ever met creatives I’ve ever met have been software engineers. Right? So think about all the mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software, dude, all of these engineers that are out there, literally, to your point, Heather, right having to come up with creative solutions. For problems. That’s creativity, right? That is absolutely creativity ever you ever had, you know, had had a roll of duct tape and something else and you needed to fix it. There’s your creativity, right? Like it exists beyond the artistry. Right? So when you are talking about creativity, you’re not talking I mean, sure you might be have a lot of artists that are gravitate towards you. But really what you’re talking about is creatives, folks that are willing to take something and make it into something else and even if that’s a problem making that into something that’s better now solution,

Heather Powers  52:14

even mathematics, even looking at mathematics and that lens, finding out equations to like even going into higher her competative math and things. You have to have a way you’re using that logic to find the answer to what some people thinks are unsolvable equations. So you almost have to rely on you might think you’re a logical person, but you’re relying on that creative part of your brain to calculate these things like oh, I pull this number and I pull this number and I pull this computation into bring it to where it needs to be to solve the equation and it might not even solve the equation but you’re thinking about even going quantumly you know, in that aspect of things, you’re you’re going outwards in a quantum realm, and even even people that are logical you’re tapping into quantum that that’s creative in itself because it’s quantum there’s there’s nothing you

Sunshine   53:11

know, he’s you speak of that and that regards there are stories about I don’t know if you’ve ever heard them Graham, but Nikola Tesla tells that much of the inventions that he created came from dreams. All right, where do you where do those dreams come from? There’s some sentiment that states when we remember a dream that’s very impactful and very powerful that that is actually a dream a dream from the Divine. Not from our our actual subconscious.

Graham  53:42

There’s gonna say well, the other thing I was just as you’re talking, I said, you know, this topic is or this last question was actually a microcosm into why I think that you don’t see a lot of men in these deeper spirituality discussions. Compared to compared to females. Right. And that’s because there’s just a misunderstanding of the definitions of words, frankly, right. Like, I think there’s there’s a tremendous amount of male listeners, man, I don’t know what the right terms are. So whoever, don’t yell at me, right. People that, you know, aren’t relating or that you know, that wouldn’t relate to one aspect of thinking such as creative, right? And, but yet they go wait a second, based on all of the ways you talked about it with math, right, which is tends to be much more of like a, you know, a masculine way of thinking or masculine energy thinking right and going well, when I think about it that way. Yeah, that does resonate with me and if I you know, I can I can connect the dots in a correlation now and even though I may not be able to have my mind go into some of the abstract aspects of some of these conversations, right? Boy, I’m a lot closer being involved in these spiritual conversations and what I gave myself credit for my own even understanding, which I think is huge, right? I mean, I think that in itself knocked down like you know, a whole bunch of bridges for you know, for people to understand each other in the space

Embracing the Spirit of Creativity with Heather Powers

Sunshine   55:02

fascinating is that that breaks a whole bunch of molds

Graham  55:05

Yes, breaks molds and builds was yes he I got so flustered because I was so like, This is crazy. was literally such a microcosm of like, literally because that was I was like that. Well, you just explained how there was a lot of my struggle, right? I mean, so I spent a lot of time with sunshine on vernacular. Right. And I think that that’s a real challenge, especially when in different people on journeys and things is that it’s not like there’s an encyclopedia of one set vernacular of a spirit though we all talk from and so translating and other things gonna come to anyway. So wow, I just was very fascinated how this conversation is taking a turn. So anyway, Sanjay, I think you’re getting ready to ask another question. But then I jumped. I mean, I

Sunshine   55:38

think we’re touching a little bit about like, what holds people up and exploring their creativity and I think you’re touching on a big part of that Graham you know, if there is a misconception of what creativity includes, right? But Heather, I’m curious what other kinds of things might you see like that are prohibiting people from stepping into that creativity or embracing it or, or even seeing some of the you know, you’re describing some of the folks in your workshop, but what’s the challenge? Where do you think these challenges are?

Heather Powers  56:08

people’s judgment? I think if people’s judgment makes a big difference on how people move forward, because they’re wondering what other people are going to think about them. I feel like that’s a big one for like, even me before I was at the point where I did give a care what people thought it was a big thing for me like oh, what is that person gonna think about me because I’m start doing this crazy talk and stuff. And it it’s back to the fear thing, man, it’s fear. Judgment or even, even having, if you’re in a house in a household or something that’s abusive, and they’re like, they, they don’t, they don’t want you doing that shit. So they’re like, they do all this other. You know, they kind of like beat that out. of you in a way not not saying they do necessarily, but it kind of like, browbeat that I’ve used it. You’re like you, you need to do this. You need to do that. There’s no room for this kind of stuff. And I have that, you know, I have that in my house. Not my household. But when I was a child a lot where I was a lot of judgment of my parents, like, like I had to excel it you know, we’re talking now out of the spiritual realm. I just saw, you know, my schoolwork, mathematics, things like that. I had to do all of that. And I felt like I had impress my parents. I felt like I had to prove myself to my parents. Because if I was talking about this other crap, you know, the creative stuff, they’re like, you know, that’s not going to make you any money. You know, that. That’s kind of like one of the things that they used to tell me. Even other people used to tell me you’re not gonna make any money out of doing that stuff. Why are you going wasting your time so at that point, you’re just like, I don’t want to do that. I don’t. I don’t waste my time because these people are kind of like brainwashing you thinking that you can’t do it that it’s not going to work. And then your own your own ego, I guess in a way say, Okay, you’re not going to be able to do this. You’re not You’re wasting your time. You need to start having a nine to five job you need to start doing all this work. You need to pay your bills, you need to do all that. There’s no time for creativity. There’s no time for that. You know, and it’s yeah, it’s I feel like a lot of people have that. Feeling that they’re being judged. Or even that it’s wrong, you know, that they’re, they’re exploring other avenues of creativity. Or, you know, like, if that big one is not making any money, you know, it’s not, it’s not doing that it’s, I’m not gonna be able to pay my bills with that. type thing. So I think there’s a lot of fear in judgment. That’s my my opinion on it. And

Sunshine   58:53

I can’t I can’t say I would disagree. And I do think you know, that fear of judgment, fear of actually being rejected, like putting a lot of time and energy into a creative work or, you know, creative problem solving and having someone come up to you and say, like, I would have done I would have done it different I would have done it better. Or I would you know, and yeah now once again, that ego taking a hit from that regards. Right, and being afraid to feel that rejection. Yeah, I’m trying to think of, you know, Graham, I know, I know, you know, we talked about the whole like, learning the words but what do you think, you know, if we were to think about your, you know, like apprehension or like, what do you think kept you from like exploring your spiritual path? You know, if we like, kind of think of this creativity, that Heather’s talking about as her spiritual path, what do you think kept you you know, from kind of exploring it sooner than than later?

Graham  1:00:01

Well, I think Well, the first was it I just didn’t it didn’t apply to me. Right, it was in two ways number one is my perspective. Right? They you know, as far as you guys were talking about this, I remember literally one of my sayings was if it doesn’t make dollars, it doesn’t make sense. So right, that’s obviously a very different place and where I’ve gotten to and you know, and how I operate my day to day, you know, my life nowadays, right? So, so it wasn’t in that replace but then the other part of it and this is one of the things that I’m finding myself, especially as I’m talking to, I’m talking to more of this comes up more guys than then girls. Just because of the wiring difference, right for being naturally more gifted and in tune with energies. Right, is there’s kind of like that feeling of, hey, that stuff might be cool, but I’m not getting into it because because it doesn’t apply to me that feels like I’m being left behind. Right and especially when it comes to stuff that might be considered cooler. Right? Why why did these people get these things but I don’t get these things, right. There’s all kinds of stuff that I hadn’t myself necessarily right but until I start talking about it with other people I got some of those perspectives and then in in hindsight, right I’m so in some ways I mentioned that as like, I just didn’t think it applied to me because I would have never thought of myself as accessing things or being capable of having extra it sensory information and things of that nature. Now again, looking backwards, I see where I did, but I didn’t recognize it because of movies or pop culture or whatever. You know, I would have expected it to be a much more significant type of interaction with me versus subtle interactions with me. Right? And so I think that until for that ability to to pick up and connect with it, right, I just didn’t think it was as didn’t think that that was who I was and who I was wired. And so as a result of that, I just didn’t have interest right? But I think that once once you get that first little bit of blue, right like you know like it like you’re like in golf and then once you once you finally get one good shot, I was like You’re like hooked, right? So like the same thing here is once you get that once you do that first meeting for somebody, or you get that first piece of information and someone’s like, how did you know that right? Like you get hooked. And so I think that there’s a lot of that. How do you get somebody to have that? Right? I would have needed somebody to help me get that. That hooked feeling somewhere early on in my life and connecting dots in order to to capture me that’s the that’s probably that which is why I was probably kind of answering that grasping that question earlier. And then obviously the you know, the timing because you know, I didn’t really listen all that great at that time in my life either. So who knows if I would have even paid attention. You know, at that time, I’d like to think that I would have but yeah

Sunshine   1:02:41

I’m a bit curious. Because Grant was mentioned it a couple of times, what’s your experience with like, the amount of like men or like, you know, more masculine energy, you know, in this kind of creative spiritual space versus women. Have you noticed the difference?

Heather Powers  1:02:58

The people I’ve been I surrounded myself with a lot of creative people in general, but in my workplace, I can I can attest to that. I have very people that call my shit woowoo stuff, you know, they’re like they but actually recently it was kind of funny because it was two men in the office. And both of them were like, Oh, you’re just, you’re just doing weird shit. You know? You’re just the weirdo you’re the Office Word out until I started surprisingly enough, I was doing like diffuser, like of like putting like different scents and they come like into my office. So they’re just like, what’s that? What’s that smell? It smells really nice. And I’m like, my diffuser. Well, what is it? I’m like, it’s oil. They’re just put oil in it. So they were just like, and I said no, this oil helps. You relax and you know, but uh, you know, I feel really good, you know? And then there’s that like, grams, that aha moment like, Man, I’m starting to feel really calm here. I was really anxious a little bit ago. You know, and now suddenly, I’m all calm. And so these these men that have that that I that I the weird office lady, um, they now are coming to me, I’m buying like oils and asking like, what are the spiritual properties of them, which was kind of like totally weird. And I didn’t even do anything. I didn’t even start a conversation about other than, you know, put it like some sense in a diffuser. That was it, you know, and they’re like, now suddenly, they’re like, Oh, we’ve got to have this because now I need and then that guy just to work. He’s like, I have to have my oil. So I’m calm and I’m like, I’m really anxious today. Can you give me some of your oil that you have? It’s like so these guys that we’re like, completely logical now. They’re just like, oh, I have to have the oils. This is helping me calm down. So they’re realizing, well, maybe you’re not so weird after all, you know, type thing or you know, because it’s actually working. So they’re actually gram they’re seeing the results. Of I think in masculine perceptive. I think they need to see results. I really feel like guys have to see results before they decide that it’s going to be something that’s going to, you know, pique their interest in a way

Sunshine   1:05:21

Yeah, I would, I would I would agree with that. When I’ve had an even if I have guys sit down with me. There, there’s a different reading that they expect. Around very concrete, very logical, like yeah, very, very different than than the ladies that sit down across.

Graham  1:05:44

It’s funny even like, great because like God says, as you were talking to her, I was like, oh, boy, this may backfire spectacularly. I mean, my perspective, because I started thinking about the amount of men that are in the creative field. Right and our creative people, but not necessarily ended up but again, but they would be very creative people. They would also be like, Yeah, you’re no Whoo, that’s cool. You just do your brainstorming over there. We’re gonna do ours over here. Right and so anyhow, yeah, you’re right. As much as I get you, right. We really do just even as much as I’d like. To try to think that yeah, I still in many cases, I struggle with that and needing to see the results and, and by struggle, I mean, yeah, it’s been beaten through my head through my own journey to stop trying to get concrete answers because it blows up in my face spectacularly every time I do. Anyway, yeah. This is this

Sunshine   1:06:36

is a really interesting, hypothesized hypothesis that I don’t know that we’d be able to end up proving but yes, there are a lot of men in the creative field right? They musicians there’s a lot of artists I mean, once upon a time a female couldn’t even be a meet the you know, fine. Artist, right movies. You know, production design all of those lots of men. I’m be curious how rampant alcoholism is because often alcoholism or alcohol will dampen the actual connection to spirit so they may still get some of the messages when needed. Right. They may still get some of the creative inspiration and things of that nature, but they probably fight because they’re dampening the act the true connection, right through any type of drugs or alcohol use. That’d be a really interesting thing. You know, just I’m just thinking of like all the rock stars, these amazing incredible, incredible art like musical artists, you know, that pass away young, you know, there’s a whole the whole joke about the 27 Club, right with between musicians and even actors, because, you know, of drug use, you know, at an early age and so yeah, you know, many of them probably are connected, but because they aren’t able to do it in a way where they’re being honest to that, that creative energy and that divine spirit. Right. Because let’s be real, I think so many folks in the creative field. Though, I don’t know that there are a lot of true creatives that create to be recognized as much as they create to create. Right, and the recognition and now having other people start to make money off of that record, like it’s a very, very slippery slope to quickly and easily lose yourself from the creativity and now just be focused in the recognition. Yeah. Yeah. Um, how would you, you know, Heather, what would you do to encourage folks to embrace it? Right, what would you you know, if you have folks that are coming by, you know, maybe there’s a couple of different folks maybe if somebody that’s you know, artists are ready, and they’re just struggling to find their muse right now, maybe they have a big project and a deadline versus you know, somebody that’s never picked up. What would you do? What would you how would you encourage folks to embrace their spirituality in their literal creative endeavors?

Heather Powers  1:09:17

Mine is just take the time, my way of doing which I just pulled cards, but that’s just my inspiration, but I think taking something daily inspiration, inspiring, whether it be something small that you don’t even think that is going to inspire you later. Even taking a moment outside in like me in the morning. I go out and just hear birds you know, and that inspires me and puts me in a completely different mindset like this morning I was out listening to birds but I was also like, doing these little funny little verses I was singing in the in these, but it and I wasn’t even realizing I was doing it but I think the main thing with me was the nature get out in nature. Um, really listen. Don’t take your phone out. Just go out and listen and take a moment. And really listen to the outside. sound sounds whether it even be in the rain falling or just wind blowing, just taking a moment and really stopping and pulling that energy in to me that inspires me every day and and just, that’s what you have to do. You have to take that moment of inspiration and sit and not worry about the deadlines in that moment. You have to pause in that moment and kind of smell like they say smell the flowers or smell the roses. Because if you’re not taking that time, that’s when you start getting the stress again of that deadlines and stuff. But I feel like if you take that moment of time, I feel like sometimes that recept people I really do.

Sunshine   1:11:07

I love that I have a question that pops into my mind, you know, and

1:11:13

I’m curious how you’d

Sunshine   1:11:15

guide anybody that you mentor on this, but you know, even though I may take that moment I don’t know about you, but so you know, I’m, I’m a bit AIVD and so next thing you know, I walk outside expecting to listen to birds. And now I’m pulling weeds and I’m looking at this and you know, so how do you encourage folks to actually be in these moments? Right, you know, even though we may set this time, I may set 20 minutes or even five minutes aside, but what do you what do you you suggest folks do to truly be in these moments outside of just leaving their phone in the house or away from them?

Heather Powers  1:11:58

They just have to do i mean i You have to you have to do it. You have to set your mind. I know that the squirrel, nice squirrel, then you have to pull back the focus is a callback your focus. If you feel like you’re going off the rails like oh squirrel shiny thing or something like that. Be aware self awareness, bringing that back in and saying okay, I’m going on this direction. Okay. Need to bring it back in. Self awareness. Big time. Yeah, I’ve been there. Oh, nice. Nice squirrel. There’s there’s a rabbit running through the yard you know? But it then I caught myself back. So you really have to like stop a moment, take a deep breath and say, okay, okay, I’m not doing what I need to be doing. I’m come out here to do one thing. And I need to focus on that one thing. Um, pull yourself back. I mean, if you start putting off I know it’s very hard for people that have ADHD for sure. I have ADD myself add myself so it’s hard to do that. But I I’m, I think I’ve built my self awareness over the years like and when I start filling myself seeing something shiny, I’m like, Okay, well, no, pull it back together. focus back to what I was doing. What was the first thing I was doing out here? Okay, listening, listening again. being self aware.

Sunshine   1:13:18

Graham, do you ever have any tips you got anything you ever use?

Graham  1:13:22

was fine. She was describing my whole morning which is hanging out with the squirrels and bunnies and kicking out with the squirrels, you know, so I literally spend two hours every morning with my coffee and squirrel so you know yeah, I’m probably at this point in my life because I’m trying to open up my creativity. I’m kind of let myself go right. But yeah, right. Well, we will tell you there is. For me, I have opened open I’ve been able to open up to seeing and understanding things in ways that are that are abstract. I don’t know how to replicate that could say by just listening and watching nature, right and just observing and being present. Right and why did this squirrel Chase the Squirrel this time and this time? can they allowed themselves to have the food and then well, you know, when the Blue Jays come and they’re, you know, they’re one noise when there’s a penis waveform, or you know, versus just the other nights and then all of a sudden other blue jays come anyway, but there’s just but that but just that recognition of there’s so much more that’s going on and so much more to be in tune with when able to just be stop and be pressed. I don’t know if that really answered I don’t know if that fully answers your question or not. But that’s definitely I’ve been spending a lot more time trying to stop and smell those for recognize where the roses are then be able to stop and smell but yeah,

Sunshine   1:14:38

I saw I asked it a little bit because it reminded me you know, listening to Heather talk, and her explanation to the answer of something that we’d already touched on which is a bit of this fear of judgment. Oh, yeah. Right. You know, or this, you know, judgment period. And how sometimes when we’re supposed to be in that moment, we’ll recognize that we aren’t, and then we’ll start to judge ourselves. Ah, yeah. Yeah. And so you know, don’t the biggest thing you know, for me when it comes to folks when I’ve encouraged them to like spend read present is to make sure that you are just being okay with whatever it is and to your point, another the awareness, that self awareness, just bringing yourself back without judgment without you know, you know, chastising yourself without you know, looking down at yourself or shaming yourself for not being good enough at it.

Graham  1:15:44

So, I’m going to since you went to the other side, and this this took that little turn here I feel inclined to to to, to chime in to say where based on this so where this came from the Gosh that the judgment right was so yesterday I had a conversation with a guy and for whatever reason right probably don’t make it aware to me that you know, I didn’t I need to work through this still was that I could sense his judging energy even though he’s nodding at me and saying different differently, right. I can sense His judgment, this judgmental energy of you, okay, whatever, right. And, um, and so I find my and so then, so, it took me out of my game. Right. And so that I find myself as I’m thinking about this right and then I’m struggling a bit more to connect with and you know, I guess I’ll just call it you know, guys, right as this next chapter in my life. And so as you guys are so as this was being talked about, there was a certain gap, you know, that fear of judgment that I’m trying to work through that, you know, I guess with, you know, selfishly I guess I was trying to get some answers to here as this as the topics we’re going going through. Because I think that is a challenge right. And I think that there are like Heather like you talked about once there once once. Once they have their infuser moment. It’s a whole different ballgame, right? But I actually, you know, opened up into this conversation you know, my perspective wasn’t so much on figuring out how to create enjoyable and future moments with so much as it was, man like this I’m so different than what I was or what I don’t even know how to connect with guys necessarily like this, right? That’s kind of what I was feeling like I was overcomplicating it so that is so I guess what I was says, Hey, Heather, thank you for allowing us to get on separate path because you know, this is this helped me to figure out some stuff I’m working on right and I think look, there’s a lot of and then that considers a lot there’s a lot of guys that would that with a different understanding of spirituality, right, that we talked about and an experience, right, would we find a lot we would find a lot more happier days in our life. Right? I guess that’s That’s the moral of the story. Right? So the more that we can find ways, you know, I’m trying to find ways to be able to connect and build those bridges, right and being able to do it. Okay. Yeah. It might be woowoo. But when it makes you go, woohoo, it ain’t so bad. No more. Right. And that’s,

Heather Powers  1:18:06

and that was building bridges today. In my work, you know, these dudes are like, You guys are just like, judging, judgmental, and they’re judging and it’s like and then when you’re What do you kind of you kind of like, get that you’re like, oh, so Okay, so I’m not so weird after, you know, type thing. So that’s the validation for me too. But you know, but it’s funny because they were very judgmental until they started seeing results. Now they’re like, oh, I need to buy this. I need to buy that. I need to get that from you. Because now it’s like, now their perspective. Perspective has changed. And it was so funny. So I’m like, oh, so maybe we’ll actually have a happier work environment because your dates aren’t so judging. Now. You know, because you’re actually experiencing things

Sunshine   1:18:54

that calm. Yeah, yeah.

Heather Powers  1:18:59

But yeah, yeah, they had very judgy in my office, so but it was so cool. I

Graham  1:19:04

don’t know if I could have done that. I’m just saying, I don’t know that, you know, you know, I’m just starting to try. I guess I’m just starting to venture into some of those aspects of my life and some of those conversations and so, you know, like, I don’t think people get credit for you know, how out that’s true toughness, right. Like being a bully isn’t being tough. Being tough as being yourself when others are picking on you, right? Or, and then especially and then that just goes to show how being tough and you know, one person being tough works out for the betterment of all and I’m saying that to myself right now to get that through my head as well too, right? Just to to you know, just your toughness and I gotta remember when next time I you know, let that chink in the armor show. Up. So,

1:19:46

I love that.

Sunshine   1:19:49

Oh, on that note, Heather, we’ve talked about all sorts of great things. I want to make sure that we can give you a little bit of time to talk a bit about some of the great stuff that you’ve got going on. So why don’t you share with our listeners right now? Where they can find you, but most importantly, why why should they reach out to you? I mean, they’ve been listening to this episode, hopefully. So I would imagine they’ve got a little bit of an idea, but being a little bit more concrete, where do they find you and why should they be reaching out to you? So

Heather Powers  1:20:20

um, we started this endeavor, like I said, with our podcast, that’s our my latest passion project right now. It’s, I’m excetera, empower, transform and create and basically what our goal and mission was with the podcast originally was I had this this vision that I wanted to build a community and I wanted to build a community of people that who felt like they weren’t being empowered. They weren’t being able to create or transform their lives, to share stories with other people, from all walks of life, all different generations. We’re talking you know, we have lawyers, I mean, mundane jobs, you know, spiritual, and artists and things like that. How do you empower, transform and create in your life and with it for yourself and with others, and my pay the price point is, is building this community so that people can come somewhere or listen to other people’s stories, and realize they’re not alone? That we’re back to back, you know, hands class together, and you’re going to have the support you need in a community. Because the way the world is going today, we all need that community because it’s so much division. Right now. And so many things going on in the world. I wanted to bring something inspirational. And my co host, Caitlin, she decided to come on board too, because she had that same vision. So we wanted to just build this empowering community to share with other people and having people come in like we’re having a lawyer come in here in a couple of weeks. So totally not not even spiritual. We’re talking more logical and things like that. But my goal is to build bridges, like Graham said, to one another, so that they know we’re not alone out there. And that there is groups that you can talk about there is people that there is no judgment and I like what sunshine had told us a couple of weeks ago, judgment turning to curiosity. That is kind of like really good advice. And we’ve kind of took that to heart. So now rather than saying I judging this, it’s like I’m curious about it. So that is been in itself, eye opening for me and Kaitlyn to tell I wanted to give you a shout out to that because that really stuck with us. And so we’re kind of doing that with a podcast. So we’re on there we’re on all pretty much all platforms. We are going down to one episode a week starting in June, and we built our a community group now in Facebook. It’s called ATC empowerment circle and we’re doing more of these daily inspirations where you can talk to others and there’s a community out there. If you need, you know, hey, you’re gafas girl, go for it. You got this dude. Empower yourself. We’re just kind of like giving people that that community so that it can do that’s where you find me I’m on Facebook, I’m on Instagram 100 Tick Tock. I’m on all the all the things. But our passion project is definitely the podcast and we really want to get more viewers out more viewers and listeners out there because we do it on YouTube Live as well. And we want people know that you’re not alone. So that’s our big passion project.

Sunshine   1:23:42

I love that a lot. And I’m so excited for for you to see where that goes. But I’m not going to let you dismiss because I was very privileged a couple of weeks ago to be a recess recipient of some of your beautiful gifts Heather what you know, I think folks might also be interested in here and how to reach out to you for some of that creative work or even some of that you talked about it briefly the the sound soul alchemy stuff. So do you have a website that they might be able to reach you or um

Heather Powers  1:24:16

I am on my my actual place is facebook.com EFI Mittersill alchemy. I’ll give you the link if you I think you have it. There all posts. That’s the main place you can find me if you don’t find me on the IMEC Sodre but I do do creative spirituality mentorships were, you know, kind of being accountability for you and try to open up your creative doorways whether it be creative thinking or any of the fine arts or anything like that. So that’s that’s where you can also find me I have all posted on there. I do have a website but it’s not it’s just like my products that I do with retail and I don’t I’m kind of phasing out of that right now. So I’m going more with that but I do have in person sessions, but I can do virtual. I do Oracle readings as well. I do poetry Oracle readings where I will do an Oracle reading and then I’ll write a poem for you. That’s that’s kind of one of the things I really enjoy doing. I do what I call sound healing sessions with their soul song alchemy, where it’s transforming your soul and kind of bringing that balance through sound and vibration. And I use that with tuning forks. And that’s kind of where I’m going right now and using a lot with the healing modalities that I’ve been working with.

Sunshine   1:25:43

Awesome. Awesome. Well, it’s been a pleasure Graham. I don’t know anything else that you want to say as we get ready to wrap up. No,

Graham  1:25:51

this is great. This definitely took a video I mean, we started our conversation even just before we started recording one way, we started talking about it going a different way. We ended it in a different way than I even kind of content that I thought right and it was, I think hugely, hugely helpful. And I hope and I really hope there’s Ephesian people listening to go Alright, well maybe I got some that created me that I didn’t realize.

Sunshine   1:26:15

Yeah, and you know what you could definitely if that if it happened, I would strongly encourage you to connect with Heather because she is phenomenal. Not just like I said I was privileged enough to be a recipient of one of her sound healings, but I know the passion that she has behind her creativity in the work that she’s doing. So Heather, thank you so much for joining us here today. It was a pleasure to have you on and we will make sure to grab all of those links so folks know where to find you. And, you know, as usual, we wrap up the same way we do each and every show. And that’s you know, us saying you know here we encourage you here at deeper spirituality to always find your path follow your path into your own deepest spirituality. So with that, my dear friends until next time, Much Love from me. Or dear Graham and Heather. To all of you totally see me again. Yeah Cool, cool. Cool. Awesome. My my earbuds did not die on me. I was so nervous because my last call before I had to like plug them in.

Heather Powers  1:27:29

Mine in I made sure I plugged my name before I started so I’m like, oh, it’s probably gonna die on me. It was great talking to you guys. That was it was phenomenal and great meeting you, Graham. Yeah, absolutely. Thank you. So what do you do Graham? Are you kind of like the realistic the realism the real realist guy? No, I’m

Graham  1:27:54

no, I’m crazy. I’m crazy on them all. Yeah, no. So I just started Yeah, so mine is you know, similar to yourself. I am focused on helping people to become to heal their souls be comfortable in their own skin. And then providing and providing a safe space to both live and have that living and learning experience and to heal from and then also, my focus is creating the different sets of infrastructure to provide to you as opposed to I don’t want to think about it like a separate world, essentially for people for people that don’t want to fit into this current world, but still need to good news but still needed to, you know, deal with health and wellness and different doctors and things like that. Right. But what they need is a community of doctors that respects their individuality. Right? They might say my you know that respects that there will the doctor isn’t gonna say Oh, I totally on board that you’re Whoo. But if you tell me that this stuff, but I will respect what you’re telling me as your own personal information, right. And being able to anyway, so it’s a lot of being able to then you know, take that empowerment and helping everybody live a better life, right and then aggregating all of the other people together that are doing all kinds of stuff like that, too, right? Because that’s half of it. Right? I’m not the expert in everything. It’s, you know, I just want to attract people with that, you know, that are looking for something that whatever I say resonates with them, but it’s like, Hey, you want to figure out to get you out of your creativity? I’ll help you to recognize you may be creative, right? I’ll be a spark. But then it’s referring them to somebody like you who can actually that help them with the it’s more of the subject matter expert right and so I just resource yeah I’m the I’m acting as a conduit

Sunshine   1:29:33

is the breaker the way that we the breaker of mold he helped people realize they don’t have to fit into a mold anymore and the builder of bridge is to help build the bridge to where you could go to help, you know, uncover more about yourself. Yeah, but I’ll share it because this is really I think, a little bit more of the question. Graham and I go way far back. I used to work for Graham over 15 years ago. Right, Graham and I both left a shitty company in 2017 but didn’t stumble across each other’s paths again until about 2019. At that time, it was you I don’t think you knew this Graham but we touch base during a relapse of mind. Oh, really? Yeah, I was drinking again. And then I stopped drinking. And then it would have been about two years ago, say the same thing. We stumbled across each other again, and he’s been working with me ever since. But when he left the company, he walked out of a like an executive role and into you know, for 21 years you were there. 21 years. He practically grew up in that company and didn’t know who he was afterwards.

Heather Powers  1:30:52

Sounds like sounds like my situation for me. I’ve been playing my place for 26 years. And I’m ready to walk right now because it’s not a very good company to work for. A lot of lot of poor management decisions, a lot of disrespect to the workers. And it’s that’s where I’m going out I’m trying to get out of that scenario because very toxic work environment is very toxic work environment, extremely toxic. We have bosses that literally pit each pit us against each other, and they think it’s fun. You know, they think it’s so you know, so it’s constantly, you know, oh, how can I get these two to piss each other off kind of thing, you know, and that’s what they live on and thrive on and I’m just I’m just done with it because I’ve been there like 26 years. So I basically grew up there to build the company from where it was to where it’s now one of those I just do like data entry but I know a lot of shit I know a lot of stuff. Like when when when I walk they’re gonna be they’re gonna be hurtin because there’s a lot of things that I know that they haven’t been able to train other people on. So, but it’s, it’s it’s coming. And my birthday is coming up tomorrow I’ll be 50 out.

Sunshine   1:32:17

Sunday.

Heather Powers  1:32:17

I’ll be 50 on Sunday. So I’m at this point in my life where I I need to live my life. I don’t need to sit and do the grind anymore. It’s not healthy for me. Let’s just put it that way. I will live my life. I’ve been too stuck in this place for so long that I haven’t been able to live my life like I want to.

Graham  1:32:45

Well, I hope you have an awesome birthday weekend.

Heather Powers  1:32:47

Oh, it’s gonna be fun. We’re having a good time. I’m going to cold place tomorrow and then Sunday. We

Sunshine   1:33:13

likes to say it’s not just makes her think I pissed them. Off. Yeah, yeah.

Heather Powers  1:33:18

And you’re very inspiring to Sunshine. You’re extremely inspiring. You inspire others. And you know, you leave in corporate is like a big thing. big inspiration for me because you were in it for a long time too. So it’s like then you get this like I can do that too. So it gets that inspiration and Kickstarter. So thank you for that. It was wonderful meeting you to Graham and and

Sunshine   1:33:43

Heather Powers  1:34:01

Sunshine   1:34:12

make it I will. Yeah, it’s a Thursday. I would hope you could. Yeah. And that’s from sunup to sundown. The whole thing is the whole day. It’s a whole fucking day. Yeah. You don’t have to be there the whole day. Oh, yes. I’ll start when the sun comes up in the morning and that’s why I told people I’m like come whenever you want you know, because some people may be able to stop by before work. You know some people Yeah, so it’s the celebrate this the summer solstice. And so we’re celebrating the sun being up for I think it’s like 16 hours. Or 14 hours or something like that. Yeah.
